After the -10,99% recorded yesterday at the close (at 13,2 euros), today, one hour after the start of trading, the title of the duvet brand is up 3%, at 13,56 euros. The wave of trading comes on the occasion of the first quarterly accounts published by the company after last December's listing. The market has shown that it likes the numbers, but has also observed that the stock is trading at quite high multiples. The operators themselves, however, had snatched the title out of their hands at stellar prices the day of the IPO.

As for the details of the financial statements, Moncler closed 2013 with revenue up 19%, to 580,6 million euros, e profits equal to 96,3 million (+17%). A strong contribution came from the North American market, which recorded a growth rate of 44%. In general, 23% of the turnover is generated locally by sales in Italy, 34% from Europe and the Middle East, 12% from South America and 31% from Asia and the rest of the world. 

“2013 will always remain a milestone in the history of Moncler – commented the president and CEO, Remo ruffini –. It not only marked the XNUMXth anniversary of the brand's relaunch and the conclusion of the listing process, but it was also a year in which double-digit growth continued." 

The retail channel recorded revenues of 333,6 million (+33%) while in the wholesale segment the increase was 7%, going to 247,0 million in 2013 from 237,7 million in 2012, despite the planned reduction of the points of sale. At the end of 2013, the Moncler mono-brand store network consisted of 135 stores, of which 107 direct and 28 wholesale.
