Milan and Donnarumma at the showdown: renewal or goodbye

Two cases are shaking up the transfer market: the renewal of the 18-year-old AC Milan goalkeeper, assisted by Mino Raiola, is creating discontent in the AC Milan environment – Cold shower for Spalletti and Inter: it seemed made for Rudiger from Roma, but Monchi has denied everything – Juventus getting closer to Douglas Costa.

Milan and Donnarumma at the showdown: renewal or goodbye

Make it or brake it. The meeting between Milan and Raiola is scheduled for today to establish Donnarumma's future: a decisive appointment, in one sense or another. Already in recent days, in fact, the split between the parties came close, with Fassone and Mirabelli annoyed by the silence of the goalkeeper and the prosecutor enraged by the attempt to bypass him. The last offer dates back to two weeks ago and Milan hoped it would be enough to close the issue with the much-needed renewal of the contract, Donnarumma instead, clearly under the direction of Raiola, bought time, thus unleashing the Rossoneri's impatience. In short, today's meeting should not allow for further postponements: either you sign or you say goodbye. Impressions? The exit polls travel on the edge of uncertainty but yes is slightly favored over no. Once the goalkeeper issue has been settled (by the way, since yesterday Cristian Abbiati has officially been the new team manager) we will think about the other operations, which today are called Kalinic, Biglia and Conti. Further contacts with Fiorentina are expected over the weekend: the Viola want 30 million, the Rossoneri offer 20-22. Distance also with Lazio and Atalanta for the other names in question, with Lotito and Percassi firm on the initial requests of 25 and 30 and Milan not to go beyond 16 and 20. The feeling is that the three deals will be done, perhaps with times a little longer, but they will do. Meanwhile Mirabelli is also starting to move on the transfer front: yesterday he met Everton at Casa Milan and the names of Bacca, Lapadula and Niang ended up on the table, with the former also being liked by Valencia and Marseille.

The Rossoneri are moving, the others are about to. Yesterday was the day of the official presentation of Spalletti as the new coach of Inter and, as expected, there was no shortage of ideas. “We are fine-tuning everything to create a stronger team – his first words as a Nerazzurri. – Purchases can't go wrong and it would be important to have the full squad as soon as possible, even if unfortunately we are linked to other events. Above all, however, I want whoever will be there to give their best, Herrera said that those who don't give everything don't give anything and I think the same way”.

In short, no names but it doesn't matter: Inter's strategies, in fact, have already emerged in recent days. Yesterday, however, a half cold shower arrived on the Rudiger front: yes, because Monchi and Di Francesco's press conference was held in Trigoria, more or less at the same time Spalletti was speaking. “We don't want to sell him, there's zero chance he'll be able to leave – explained the Giallorossi sporting director about the German. – The only open negotiation we have is the one with Liverpool for Salah but we set the price, Roma are not a supermarket”. According to Monchi, therefore, Rudiger will not move, but in the meantime Hector Moreno has already arrived as a possible substitute: the feeling, in short, is that the sporting director wanted to send a loud and clear message to his former coach…

Important movements also at Juve, with Marotta and Paratici who officially met Douglas Costa's agents, receiving an important opening on the possible transfer to Turin. The Brazilian has expressed all his satisfaction with him, but now we need to deal with Bayern Munich and close the gap between demand (50 million) and supply (35). The agreement could reach halfway, but first the Germans will have to conclude the purchase of Sanchez from Arsenal, considered the natural replacement for Douglas Costa. The negotiation concerning N'Zonzi is more complicated: the player has already given his consent but Sevilla, strengthened by the release clause of 40 million, do not seem willing to make discounts. The bianconeri wait and leverage the will of the person concerned, hoping that this will soften the Andalusian club at least a little.
