The vast majority of Mid & Small Caps listed on the Italian Stock Exchange are not covered by research by analysts, except those imposed by the listing regulation.
Yet the recent study of the Consob “The impact of financial analyst reports on small caps prices in Italy” he highlighted the strategic importance of analysts' research as an essential premise for developing this segment of the securities market, the one most closely linked to the reality of the Italian economy.
The Aiaf (Italian Association of Financial Analysts) addresses the problem in the conference that will be held tomorrow, April 17 from 17 to 18 pm, in Room 2 of the Bocconi University within the Salone del Risparmio.
The objective is to arrive at a proposal to guarantee a sufficient level of coverage and liquidity on Mid & Small Caps, an essential prerequisite for the correct functioning of the market.
For this reason, AIAF has launched a reflection on the effectiveness of the support offered to investors (institutional and otherwise) by financial analysts in the dissemination of information, in measuring corporate performance and in evaluating companies; an analysis of the critical issues of the listing and coverage of Small & Mid Caps; the comparison with the solutions prepared in other European countries where the presence of medium & small caps in the price lists is much stronger and more rooted.
They will talk about this:
