Weekend with still mild temperatures throughout Italy and sun (especially Sunday) everywhere, but the African heat is back from liga sottounedì in the Center-South.

Weather: mild weekend, muggy weather returns from Monday

A few more days of very pleasant weather, and then the great heat should return. Up to and including Sunday, on Italy the sun will continue to shine (except for some cloud cover in the North on Saturday), with temperatures however abundantly average and a bearable heat (highs generally around or just above 30 degrees and lows around 20).

However, from Monday, especially in the South, the first signs of a return of the African heat arrive: while in fact in the North, according to the forecasts available today on the Air Force website, it should still rain, in the Center-South the air will become heavier again and the mercury column to go back well beyond the threshold of 30 degrees. Between Monday and Tuesday, for example, 34-35 degrees are expected in Rome, Florence, 33 in Catania and in many cities of Calabria and Puglia. In the North, on the other hand, also thanks to the thunderstorms over the Alps, the thermometer will rise again but not to unsustainable values.

The week then, as far as it is possible to predict from today, should develop in the name of the African heat. Will this be the last wave of a hot summer at times? Hard to say, but it is difficult for temperatures to return to unthinkable peaks of the last few weeks, when in Italy - and in other Western European countries - the maximum 40 degrees was reached and even exceeded.
