Weather: truce to sultriness, more rain from Friday

After the rains of these days in the Central North, the heat returns in the middle of the week, but not as a red dot – The coup de grace arrives next weekend: more rains and a thermometer below 30 degrees (apart from in the South).

Weather: truce to sultriness, more rain from Friday

These are hours marked by a sensitive thermal decrease over most of Italy, especially in the Centre-North, accompanied by rain and thunderstorms, in some cases even violent as we have seen in Veneto, where a state of emergency has been proclaimed. There is therefore a real respite from the great heat of recent weeks, but it won't last long.

In fact, summer is far from over and already on Tuesday 25th the high pressure is back on the whole country, with the maximum temperatures that will once again be very high and almost everywhere above 30 degrees, even if for now no particular anomalies or health risks are foreseen. As usual, it will be above all the internal areas that will suffer from the heatwave: Florence, Bologna, Umbria, and some cities in the South. In the rest of Italy, especially in the North but also including Rome, there will be sun and heat but no more at dramatic levels.

At the end of the week, as early as Friday, even thunderstorms will return in the North, which will gradually affect some areas of the Center over the course of the weekend. That will probably be a effective coup de grace in the summer heat since the maximums, almost everywhere except in the South, will even drop below 30 degrees
