Other than an early spring: the classic tailspin of winter is about to hit Italy, with bad weather almost everywhere in the first days of next week, falling temperatures and above all lots of rainfall, including snow, after a long period of drought that it has characterized the whole country since the beginning of 2020. In these first two months of the year, in fact, there was almost no winter: sun and significantly above average temperatures were recorded almost everywhere. But now, just as spring seemed to be upon us, winter still shoots a few cartridges.
It does so starting this weekend (in the North it is already raining and it has already snowed over 1.000 meters in the Alps, from Sunday the rains will also arrive in the Center) and above all at the beginning of the week, when the Atlantic cyclone will intensify and bad weather it will also and above all overwhelm the Center and the South. The expected rainfall will be intense and prolonged, as we have not seen for months: the regions most affected by the abundant rains will be Marche, Abruzzo, lower Lazio, Campania, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily. The worst day, after a very brief respite between Sunday evening and Monday morning, will be Monday: it will rain (or snow) everywhere, and temperatures will also begin to drop.
The thermal drop expected for Tuesday and Wednesday is more sensitive, when the famous "normal values" will return throughout the peninsula, especially in the north. Meanwhile, it will continue to rain, with a slight improvement expected for Wednesday only.
