Weather and cold, temperatures at peak

The last days of November will be characterized by bad weather. The sixth perturbation of the month is arriving on our peninsula, which this time will have low temperatures as protagonists.

Cold air, pouring into the Mediterranean, will lead to the formation of a low pressure circulation that will persist in our country probably until the weekend.

In addition to the drop in temperatures, strong winds and abundant rainfall are expected, especially in the centre-south. Snowfall at low altitude in the North and starting from Friday also in the central regions and Sardinia. Storms are expected over Tuscany and Lazio on Wednesday, while Milan and Turin risk waking up under snow on Friday.

The Civil Protection department has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions which integrates and extends those of the past few days. The communication foresees strong northern winds with gusts of storm with possible storm surges along the coasts in the coming days.

The strong winds will create problems for sea connections. The routes from Sicily to the smaller islands (Milazzo-Aeolian, Trapani-Egadi and Palermo-Ustica) have been suspended.
