La first storm of December has reached Northern Italy: Piedmont is already covered in snow even at low altitudes, on Saturday it could snow near Milan and in Liguria, after which the bad weather will tend to move towards the Center-South, bringing snow to the Apennines: for the northern regions, on the other hand, a rapid improvement is expected which will lead to a cold but sunny Sunday.
In the first part of next week there will be a general improvement thanks to the high pressure return which will guarantee stable weather, mostly sunny, and with rising daytime temperatures. On the other hand, during the nights, thanks to the sunny spells and the inflow of cold air, temperatures will drop below zero in the North and in the internal areas of the Center with consequent frosts, more intense in the snow-covered areas of the North-West. According to current projections, a general deterioration is looming in the second part of the week followed by a new influx of cold polar air.
