Merkel, Germany will help Greece

During the meeting of industrialists in Berlin, which was also attended by George Papandreu, German Chancellor Angela Merkel once again spoke about the Greek crisis.

"Germany will do everything it can to increase confidence in Greece - he said -, while Athens implements the necessary reforms to respect the agreements". "We will provide all the help requested - she added - even with the private sector". Responding to the Greek prime minister who had complained about the criticisms received regarding the action of his executive and of his country in general, the chancellor said: ”I respect a lot the efforts of Greece and the structural reforms that Athens is implementing. I believe that the invitation to Prime Minister Papandreou by German industrialists is also a sign of cooperation, let's hope that Greece emerges strengthened from this crisis”.
