Marco Tronchetti Provera was confirmed today as deputy chairman of the Board of Mediobanca, following the resolution of the shareholders' meeting at the end of October to reinstate him in the position of director. This was announced in a note issued at the end of the board meeting which also approved the new composition of two committees, remuneration and control and risks.
The president and CEO of Pirelli had suspended himself from the Piazzetta Cuccia board of directors after his conviction in the first instance for receiving stolen goods last summer. At the moment, the news does not warm up the markets, given that Mediobanca continues its negative day in Piazza Affari, losing 0,57% in early afternoon €6,145 per share.
