THE ITALIAN STOCK IN THE LAST DECADE

One hundred euros invested in the Italian Stock Exchange become 81, but for STAR securities a good 292. In the period of analysis, the most profitable investment in the Stock Exchange related to Star companies whose total return (dividends included) was equal to an average of 10,5% annual; 100 euros invested at the end of 2007 thus became 292 in 2018. As for the sectors, the most profitable is investment in industrial securities with an average annual return of 2,5% for a final €130, a far better outcome than insurance companies (-3,1%, the €100 invested decreases to 72) and even more to bank ones (-11,3%, the final 28 euro is equivalent to a reduction of more than 70% of the amount of a decade earlier). The result achieved by securities once listed on the Nuovo Mercato is not negligible: 1,6%, for a final amount of 118 euros. Top performing sectors since 2007 for total return returns. At the top of the ranking we have Reply and De' Longhi, listed respectively on STAR and in the Nuovo Mercato, followed by three veterans DiaSorin, La Doria, SS Lazio.
