Mediobanca, Bolloré: group C will remain 11% of the capital

Mediobanca's group of foreign investors, known as group C, will remain 115% of the share capital. If asked, Bolloré is, in turn, ready to round up his stake in Mediobanca, currently at 6%, which on the basis of the agreement in force, however, could not increase.

Mediobanca, Bolloré: group C will remain 11% of the capital

The group of foreign investors in the Mediobanca pact will hold 11% of the capital. Vincent Bolloré – writes Radiocor – intends to pilot the arrival of a new shareholder in the group by the end of the year to replace Groupama, which has decided to cancel the agreement, to which it had a 4,93% stake. The new entry would then acquire the securities now owned by the French insurance company.

If asked, Bolloré is also ready to round up his stake in Mediobanca, currently at 6%, which on the basis of the agreement in force could not increase. This confirms the importance given to investments in Italy and the "great esteem and trust in the management of Mediobanca and Generali".

Bolloré has resigned from his positions in Generali - it is explained - in the face of his ever-increasing commitment to Vivendi, of which he is the main shareholder with 5%. He has been vice president of the multimedia group for a few weeks but according to reports from beyond the Alps he is aiming for the presidency. In any case, there is no intention of returning to the Mediobanca board, left due to the rule that prohibits double offices. This time it is the lack of time that forbids it.
