Maradona and tax authorities: debt reduced from 40 to 34 million

If peace has not yet been made with the Italian tax authorities, at least now Diego Armando Maradona's debts have been reduced by six million. The lawyers of the former Pibe de Oro have announced that the Provincial Tax Commission of Naples has canceled four of the six tax bills disputed with the Argentine idol. Result: the 40 million that Maradona had to pay until yesterday have dropped to 34,2.

Of these, "29 are only of interest", said the lawyer Angelo Pisani, who reiterated that the sentence, while partially accepting Maradona's requests, is in any case "contradictory and illogical". For this reason it will be "immediately challenged before all the competent authorities". But that's not enough: "We will go to appeal - Pisani said again - to obtain the cancellation of all the illegitimate debt".
