The government collects the confidence of the Senate on article 1 of the budget law which contains the regulatory part of the budget: there were 173 yeses and 108 nos, there were no abstentions. The budget law will therefore now be approved, but now all eyes are on the Pd Directorate scheduled for today and above all on Friday, when the formalization of the resignation of Matteo Renzi's premier at the Quirinale should arrive.
After which the consultations will start immediately, with the aim of giving birth to the new government just before Christmas. Mattarella aims to call the elections not before having a homogeneous electoral law for the Chamber and Senate, therefore with a further intervention by Parliament after the decision of the Consulta announced for January 24th.
