Maina, not just panettone: new headquarters and new products

Not just panettone, pandoro and dove. Maina, the Piedmontese confectionary company wants to expand the range of products to increase turnover. In 2015 the company is starting to close the accounts with revenues rising by about 20% to 92-94 million. It is underlined by the CEO of the Marco Brandani group, which on Thursday 17 December presented the expansion of its headquarters in Fossano, in the province of Cuneo. “The year closes very well – explained Brandani to Radiocor – we see a more positive consumer and also more attentive to the quality of the products, a factor that had been somewhat lost in recent years”.

On the strength of the positive balance sheet data, Maina has also launched a significant investment plan: “Last year we celebrated the company's 50th anniversary and asked ourselves how to lay the foundations for the next 50 years. The project foresees new investments for 20 million”. With this money, Maina expanded its headquarters in Fossano and the production lines by enhancing production: “In the construction of the plant, the artistic content is high because we consider ourselves artisans. The last part of this work is that of extending the product range. The idea is to expand the offer beyond special occasion products” and therefore go beyond panettone, pandoro and colombe.

Maina aims to continue growing, “but we're not obsessed with numbers and we don't want them to be to the detriment of quality”, Brandani continues. Are you preparing a listing on the Stock Exchange? Not for now "because we want to grow internally and at the moment we don't need it, then in the future never say never".
