Capital Mafia: 44 new arrests, including the Lazio Region

New wave of arrests for Mafia Capital. The second chapter of the investigation called 'middle world' started at dawn today with a maxi operation by the Ros who carried out 44 pre-trial detention measures. Among those who ended up in handcuffs there are well-known faces of the Capitoline and regional politics, starting from Luca Gramazio, former councilor of Forza Italia in the Lazio Region and former group leader of the then Pdl in the Capitoline assembly with Alemanno mayor.

Gramazio had resigned as regional councilor at the end of the first tranche of the investigation. For him, the accusation from the Rome prosecutor's office is very heavy: participation in the mafia association headed by Massimo Carminati.

Precautionary measure also for Mirko Coratti, former president of the Capitoline assembly who suspended himself from the Democratic Party in December. Arrests also for the former Pd councilor Daniele Ozzimo, for Angelo Scozzafavafor city councilors Massimo Caprari e Giordano Tredicine and for the former "mini mayor" of Town Hall X, that of Ostia, Andrew Tassone.

Among the 44 people arrested by the Carabinieri del Ros on charges of mafia-type association, corruption, bid rigging, false invoices, fraudulent transfer of valuables and other crimes, there are also several managers of the Municipality and the Lazio Region. At home too Stefano Venditti, former president of Lega Coop Lazio.
