The Venetian group Luxottica announced today in a statement that it has won a contract worth 33,5 million Australian dollars (about 27 million euros) for the supply of services and supplies to the Australian army.
The contract provides for eye tests, the supply of lenses with frames, and eye scanning with machinery, in which Luxottica has invested around 20 million Australian dollars (15 million euros). This subcontract will be provided to approximately 80.000 military personnel annually.
