Luxottica would be ready to make another acquisition in Europe, where by now, according to rumors, the negotiations to acquire the transalpine eyewear group Alain Mikli should be well advanced.

The closure of the operation, writes Il Sole 24 Ore, could be announced as early as this week by the Agordo group owned and founded by Leonardo Del Vecchio. Alain Mikli is a very high-end French manufacturer, who produces a brand of his own, plus others under license for Starck and Jean Paul Gaultier.

At the opening of the day in Piazza Affari, Luxottica shares gained 0,45%.
