Luxottica turns 50

Luxottica, world leader in high-end, luxury and sports eyewear, celebrated its 50th anniversary at the New York Stock Exchange. The Italian company was, in fact, the protagonist of the 'Ring the Bell' ceremony, the classic event that marks the closing of the trading days of the American Stock Exchange on Wall Street, where Luxottica has been listed since 1960. During the celebrations, Andrea Guerra, CEO of the group, underlined that Luxottica "has 60% of its production in Italy and from the point of view of turnover it does not even represent 4%, for this reason we can say that we are one of the greatest representatives of Made in Italy". According to Guerra, Italy needs "structural investments and we need to recover the entrepreneurial will of those who founded companies like Luxottica 50 years ago".
