Lottomatica, a subsidiary of International Game Technology PLC, has set up a temporary grouping of companies (RTI) for participation in the tender for the assignment of the Lotto game concession in Italy. In addition to Lottomatica, the following are part of this consortium: Italian Gaming Holding (IGH), Arianna 2001 spa (a company of the FIT group – Italian Federation of Tobacconists) and Novomatic Italia spa.
By virtue of the RTI contract, Lottomatica is the majority operating partner in order to meet the requirements of the Lotto game concession. The Consortium presented its offer today, in compliance with the terms established for participation in the call for tenders: if the concession is awarded to the RTI, a special company will be set up, of which Lottomatica will hold a 61,5% stake and IGH, Arianna 2001 and Novomatic Italia respectively 32,5%, 4% and 2%. Lottomatica will designate the majority of the members of the board of directors of the aforementioned company, with which it will also sign a contract for the supply of technology and services dedicated to the game of Lotto.
