Iran in Rome: Tehran presents itself and is looking for Italian partners

Iran has chosen Italy, and in particular Rome, for present their companies and businesses in the first manifestation of the great Shiite country throughout the West since 1979. Tehran is looking for technology and Italian partners willing to share them in joint ventures. The recent nuclear deal and the consequent fall of the embargo represents the reopening of one of the most interesting markets between Europe and Asia, which offers enormous potential: we are talking, for European companies, of a $800 billion market. By 2020, the construction of 80 new airports and 3.500 hotels is planned.

The event, which will be presented on the morning of November 22 by the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Commerce Mohammad Reza Nemathzadeh and by the Italian Minister of Economic Development Carlo calenda, hosts 140 Iranian companies of the main economic sectors, 12 banks and five ministries on an exhibition area of over 7.000 mXNUMX.
Direct meetings – B2B – with at least 200 companies and 14 Italian banks, ready to listen to programs and partnership proposals.

The reopening of trade relations with Tehran would bring immediate benefits in the oil sector, the hardest hit by international sanctions, and in the automotive sector. Huge investments in mining and transport are also planned.

Piero little ones, sole director of Fiera di Roma and even earlier a pioneer of commercial relations with Iran, explains the meaning of the exhibition as follows: "The main objective is to put our companies in contact with realities in which there are possibility of development. Obviously in compliance with the rules. And Iran, with its 80 million inhabitants today represents what the United Arab Emirates were in the 2000s, a cultured country, large producer of oil, natural gas, petrochemicals and agro-food products, with vast development potential in the service and tourism sectors.
