Liberalizations: Pd-Pdl agreements are emerging on Eni, banks and transport authorities

Prime Minister Mario Monti is not at all impressed by the avalanche of amendments (2.400) rained on the liberalization decree and is preparing to put the trust in the event that it is not possible to overcome the parliamentary impasse. On a few points, however, some change of the provision is possible: between Pd and Pdl, in particular, agreements are outlined to accelerate the spin-off of Snam Rete Gas from Eni, to make the rules for banks regarding mortgages and insurance policies are more binding e on the establishment of the Transport Authority without intermediate steps.
