After the start of the press conference, with the announcement by the president of the ECB on the purchase of ABS and covered bonds, the single currency widened the decline by updating the minimum and temporarily falling below 1,30 dollars, until it touched $1,2994.
The expectations of the financial markets and analysts envisaged a confirmation of the cost of money, already reduced in June. The rate on marginal deposits went from -0,1% to -0,2% and that on extraordinary loans to 0,30%.
