Leonardo's race never stops. The defense company reached a milestone today new all-time high on the stock market, exceeding 35 euros per share. A record that comes at a time of grace, in which the stock benefits from the hypotheses of an increase in defense spending by the countries of the European Union, but also from the proposal of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to exempt the defense sector from the EU limits on public spending.

Meanwhile, the company led by former minister Roberto Cingolani announced today an important agreement with Edge, one of the world's leading groups in the advanced technology and defense sector, to further strengthen the two companies' capabilities in the design of cutting-edge, complex and innovative systems for the export market and to diversify and complete their mutual portfolios of solutions in the air, land, naval and cyber sectors.

In this context, the title Leonardo records a rise of around 2 percent and exceeds 35 euros per share, after having reached a new historical high of 35,14 euros. In the last six months, the company's shares have risen by more than 54%, while in the last year the rise is as much as 86%.

Leonardo signs deal with Edge

In the meantime, the company has announced that it has signed an agreement with Edge. The agreement, signed during the International Defence Exhibition (Idex) 2025, currently underway in Abu Dhabi, will concern the United Arab Emirates market and will include a global export strategy, promoting closer synergies, sharing of knowledge and consolidating specialized resources to more effectively seize and develop opportunities in sectors such as: air capabilities including radar technologies, in particular on multi-mission aircraft; defense capabilities against tactical ballistic missiles; anti-drone and surveillance systems; naval combat management systems; radio communications and, finally, optical targeting systems.

“The agreement anticipates a structured partnership aimed at the joint commercial promotion of these products and solutions to the governments of different countries. It also provides for the joint development of intellectual property and future innovative projects”, Leonardo said in a statement.

The sectors identified as pillars of this joint strategy are becoming increasingly important in an evolving market and operating landscape.
