Stability Law: yes to the trust, now it passes to the Chamber

The government obtained 164 votes in favor and 116 against in the Senate. Few changes to the manoeuvre: cap on cash at 1000 euros on money transfers, no Tasi for apartments on loan for use to children, Rai license fee in the bill but the first installments will be paid in July 2016 – Now the text goes to the Chamber, final approval by the end of December

The 2016 Stability Law obtained the confidence of the Senate. With 164 votes in favor and 116 against, the government passed the Palazzo Madama exam and now the text of the provision passes to the Chamber.

The maneuver comes out of Palazzo Madama with a few changes that do not distort the original structure of the government.
Among the amendments approved there is one which maintains a 1.000 euros the ceiling on cash circulation only for money transfers, in other cases the limit of 3.000 euros is confirmed.

Il Rai license fee, reduced to 100 euros, will be paid in 10 monthly installments with the quarterly electricity bill. On a transitional basis, the installments due in the first part of 2016 will be paid in a single solution in July, also because the companies that issue the bills – such as Enel for example – need at least two months to be able to adapt the billing software, from the moment in which the measure becomes definitive. And since this will happen at the end of December, it will certainly not be possible to intervene on the February bills and probably not even on those of April. Hence the postponement to mid-year.

The House chapter continued to dominate the Senate debate. The abolition of the Tasi, foreseen for almost all main houses, is extended to the apartments given on loan for use to the children.

The Stability Law, in the version licensed by Palazzo Chigi, contains measures for 26,5 billion, financed for 14,6 billion through the increase in the deficit.
