For at least half of Italy, the lockdown will not end on Easter Monday, as initially hoped. With the Rt index improving somewhat throughout the country, it is the incidence that determines the fate of local realities, and according to the forecasts of the usual weekly monitoring of the ISS, few are able to afford a relaxation of the measures restrictions in the short term. One of them is Lazio, which even returns to the orange zone as early as Tuesday March 30, at the beginning of the week leading up to Easter. For another 7 Regions (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Marche, Lombardy, Puglia and Val d'Aosta, Tuscany, Campania, Calabria, plus the autonomous province of Trento and Veneto), the red zone will continue at least until April 12: in the latest dpcm it is in fact established that when the weekly cases are more than 250 per 100 thousand inhabitants, the red zone is triggered, and that it is necessary to stay below that threshold for 14 consecutive days, before being able to switch to orange.

A novelty is Puglia which is even launching the reinforced red zone, according to an order from President Michele Emiliano. Tuscany, Calabria and Campania are back in the red zone. While the return to yellow is currently precluded for everyone, certainly until Easter and - it is being discussed within the majority of the government - perhaps for the entire month of April, in order to settle the descent of the contagion curve, "dribbling" other holidays at risk such as April 25 and May 1st. The reopening of schools, at least up to and including elementary school, is instead hypothesized for after Easter, but Lazio, for example, will be able to do it as early as Monday 29 March, as it is an orange zone. Sardinia also remains orange, after having tasted a period even in the white zone: the president of the Region Christian Solinas has extended the obligation to undergo the Covid test for those arriving on the island to next April 6th.
