Good news for workers. In the month of September industry and the tertiary sector will activate 435 employment contracts, 20 thousand more than in the same period last year. In percentage terms, this is 4,8% more.
The new contracts will concern above all medium-sized businesses which have the highest entry rate (given by the ratio between the number of contracts envisaged and workers already present in the company) recorded over the last twelve months.
These are the most relevant data contained in the monthly bulletin of the Excelsior information system produced by Unioncamere and Anpal.
Going into details, within the industry sector, they will be mechatronics and metallurgical-metal supply chain to hire more personnel, expecting to activate approximately 21 thousand contracts and 18,2 thousand respectively (with tendential increases of 3,9% and 7,7%). On the other hand, the food sector is down, with a year-on-year drop of around 1.500 contracts.
As far as services are concerned, on the other hand, there is a boom in contracts in the tourism chain, with 57,5 thousand admissions (+18,9% on a trend basis). Well also the media and communication sector, which marks an increase of 1.370 units.
At this juncture, however, an important fact must be underlined. According to data from Unioncamere-Anpal, even in September companies confirmed strong difficulties in finding professional figures corresponding to their requests. In fact, 31% of the expected revenue is not easy to find, with an increase of 2018 percentage points compared to September 5.
Between the most sought-after professions there are specialized workers (in particular blacksmiths, welders, tinsmiths, etc.), IT, telematics and telecommunications technicians. They are the most sought after but also the most difficult to find.
“At a local level – reads the Bulletin – a higher incidence of contracts for highly specialized figures (such as managers, professionals, specialists, etc.) is recorded not only in the more dynamic areas of the North but also in provincial contexts of the Sardinia or Sicily".
