Work, Camusso: "Cgil calm, Parliament is sovereign"

Susanna Camusso spoke of the reform of the labor market stating that "the country is serene, because Parliament remains sovereign" - The crux is the reintroduction of reinstatement in layoffs for economic reasons - "Move forward, but on individual points there is need for correction".

Work, Camusso: "Cgil calm, Parliament is sovereign"

today general secretary of the CGIL Susanna Camusso has returned to talk about the reform of the labor market, responding remotely to Monti's statements that he had stated that the government was ready to leave if the country did not prove ready.

“The country is serene” said Camusso, “because Parliament remains sovereign“, adding then that there are still important margins for the modification of some rules, especially those that relate to dismissals for economic reasons

The importance of Parliament's legislative role was the focus of Camusso's declarations, who remarked, however, that the CGIL reserves the right to see the bill because it cannot be excluded that there are other points, in addition to the reintroduction of reinstatement, susceptible of modification.

The secretary general closed with an important acknowledgment of the progress made, but with a necessary caveat: "It is one thing to recognize a system that has changed compared to the past, another thing is not to know that on the single points there is then a need for correction".
