Work, Enav-union agreement: no Cig, yes to holidays

Enav has signed an agreement with the unions that allows the company that manages national air traffic to contain labor costs for 2021 without however resorting to social safety nets.

2020 has been a euro year for the global aviation industry. The pandemic has left hundreds of planes grounded, with a drop in flights to Italy and Europe of around 60% in 2020 and around 70% at the beginning of 2021. A reality that has led to "a strong contraction of cash flows input for ENAV”, underlines the company.

By virtue of these data, the agreement reached with the trade unions of the sectors guarantees ENAV the possibility of containing labor costs and better managing cash flows, without resorting to social safety nets or other initiatives that may have an impact on the remuneration of ENAV personnel. In detail, it was established that all ENAV personnel must use, by and no later than 30 September 2021, all the RFS (Recovery of Suppressed Holidays) and the 70% of accrued holidays of the current year. Furthermore, given that the drop in traffic persists, for the months of February and March, the Company has the option of scheduling up to a maximum of 4 days of vacation.

The managing director of Enav Paolo Simioni he declared: “With the agreement reached, we safeguard our people, a strategic and essential asset of the Company, thanks to which Enav's services represent an internationally recognized excellence. This result is the result of joint work that began last year with the social partners. The sense of responsibility and the professionalism of our work are those values ​​that allow us to protect the company from the effects of the current pandemic crisis and to prepare, more united, for the next challenges of air transport".
