The savings company Anima Sgr towards the Stock Exchange

The savings company Anima Sgr is about to enter the stock exchange. According to Radiocor, tomorrow's board of directors will give the go-ahead for the listing process for the company which currently has total assets under management of over 40 billion euros.

For some time, the shareholders gathered in Asset Management Holding have been studying strategies and ways to enhance their shareholdings. Now it seems they have decided to take the path of the Stock Exchange, even if they do not exclude different options: other sources report that Anima is coveted by French groups in the credit and savings sector - the name of Axa is mentioned - and that it can catalyze interest of other operators in the sector.

On the indiscretions relating to the Anima quotation, the managing director Marco Carreri does not comment.

The group – born from the merger of Prima, Bipiemme Gestioni and Anima – has Asset Management Holding as its sole shareholder, led by the private equity fund Clessidra (37%), followed by Banca Popolare di Milano (35,3%) and Monte dei Paschi di Siena (22,7%). The shareholding structure is completed by Credito Valtellinese (2,8%) and other shareholders and managers with 2,2%.

Anima closed the 2012 financial year with a consolidated net profit of 74 million, an amount which it distributed entirely to shareholders in the form of a dividend. The first half ended with net revenues of 90 million against 165 for the whole of 2012.
