Juve wins the Coppa Italia again: it's an Italian record and treble

A brace that is worth the story. Juventus won the second consecutive Italian Cup, but above all a double never obtained by anyone that is worth a place in the Olympus of football. The palmares of Italian football had never recorded two championships and two cups in as many seasons, testifying to a black and white excessive power destined to remain in the books and in everyone's memory. However, Milan comes out with their heads held high and this, given the premises, is already news.

In fact, the predictions made Juve's victory almost a given, but the Lady had to suffer a lot to win the Olimpico trophy. Decisive, a few minutes from the end, Alvaro Morata, probably with the last goal in the Juventus shirt: Marotta will try everything to snatch him from Real Madrid, in the meantime, however, the Spaniard has given the umpteenth title to Allegri's team.

“Winning wasn't easy, I thank the boys for what they did – the words of the Juventus coach. – We found a good Milan, especially in the first half. We improved in the second half but we also risked conceding a goal, after all, finals are like that. We had to be good and make the most of the episodes, luckily we succeeded ”.

Great joy in the Juventus entourage, especially after a more difficult game than one could think on the eve. In fact, the Rossoneri, fielded for the first time by Brocchi with a 4-3-3 formation, played it practically on an equal footing, thus increasing regrets for a season that could have gone much better and which instead ended without qualifying for Europe League.

“The team played a good game – commented the coach. – The regret remains of having lost undeservedly but I am happy to have seen the right spirit. We did the race we had to do, I finally saw something of mine and this makes me happy regardless of the defeat. I don't know what will become of my future, I will accept what will happen."

A lot of bitterness at Milan, above all for the modalities of the defeat. Contrary to what might have been thought, in fact, the team stood up to the much more popular Lady, bringing the contest to extra time. Merit of an aggressive and intelligent attitude, son of a new system but also, if not above all, of a very different mentality compared to the championship. Juve, however lacking fundamental elements such as Bonucci, Khedira and Marchisio, thus found themselves in full tussle, forced to play it on a very different level than the technical one.

The match remained in balance for over 110', then, just when everyone was expecting penalties, here's the paw of Morata, very good at taking advantage of Cuadrado's assist and killing the innocent Donnarumma. Milan, close to equalizing a few seconds from the end (José Mauri's right-footed shot out of nothing), had to surrender to yet another black and white victory, almost in disbelief after so much battle. In the end, however, Juventus won and this is no longer a novelty.
