Juve rises again in the Champions League and Atalanta resists in Spain

Europe is good for Juve. The black and whites conquer Malmoe with a net 3-0 and thus they find their first success of the season, in a group that portends a two-way race with Chelsea, in turn victorious over Zenit (1-0, goal by Lukaku). Positive evening also for Atalanta, able to snatch a draw, and comeback, in Villarreal's lair: a point which, combined with Manchester United's sensational defeat against Young Boys (2-1, CR7's goal was not enough ), makes the race to qualifying even more exciting.

In short, Italian football presents itself well on the opening night of the Champions League, even if the opponent, in the case of Juve, does not allow you to make flights of fancy. The technical difference with the Swedes is too obvious to indulge in easy enthusiasm, even if the black and whites return from Malmoe with various positive indications, useful in view of the big match against Milan on Sunday evening. First of all she saw herself right anger, materialized in a perfect first half, in which the match, in fact, took the direction of Turin.

Then Allegri can smile because the South Americans, absent in Naples due to force majeure, have responded present, showing everyone that the Lady, with them on the pitch, is quite another thing, but also for Morata's second consecutive goal and for the Szczesny goal remained, finally, unbeaten.

All easy, in short, from the 23rd minute when Cuadrado caught Alex Sandro in the penalty area: nice diving header and ball in the hole. But the real turning point came just before the interval, when Juve closed everything in just two minutes, first with Dybala (45 '), cold in converting a penalty obtained by Morata, then with the Spaniard himself, lethal in beating Diawara with a soft touch below (46').

The second half thus turned into a sort of training session, also because Tomasson's Malmoe, you get the hint, preferred to avoid the goleada. Thus Juve, with the exception of a couple of chances from Kean (goal disallowed for offside), saved their energies in view of Milan, a fundamental commitment in terms of the championship, which they will however be able to face with much more confidence than before.

"After three games in the league without a result, it's normal that we were under a bit of pressure, but technically the lads did well even if in some situations we could have done better - the analysis by Allegri – We need to improve on the path that started in July and be good at keeping our balance, now we're going to face an opponent in great shape and this must be a source of stimulus, but our goal is focused on the October break, we'll see where we'll be there" .

Positive evening, as previously mentioned, also for Atalanta, good at standing despite the blows of Villarreal champions of the Europa League. La Dea, with due proportions, approached the Spanish away match a bit like Juve, therefore in search of the certainties lost in this subdued start of the season. Mission accomplished, despite some individual mistakes that cost the victory: without those, in fact, the players from Bergamo would have gone home with the 3 points.

It is no coincidence that they had unlocked it with Freuler already in the 6th minute, but then they failed to double up on the three occasions they had from Gosens, Pessina and Zappacosta and Villarreal regained their courage, first almost equalizing with Gerard Moreno (splendid Musso ), then finding him with Trigueros (39'). The trend continued in the second half until 2-1 for Emery's men signed by Danjuma, who scored with the first ball touched (73').

It could have been the knockout blow of the Yellow Submarine, but then, in the 83rd minute, here was the usual Gosens' paw, ruthless in concluding an action born on the Ilicic-Miranchuk axis. In the final, the Goddess, thanks to the expulsion of Coquelin, even stroked the victory, but the last chance was for the Spaniards and only the umpteenth great save by Musso avoided the insult.

"We met a very strong team and, even if I'm sorry about the way we conceded goals, I'm very satisfied with the result - commented Gasperini – We had the strength not to throw the ball away and in the final, with numerical superiority, we also hoped to win it but then Musso was good at saving us. Both teams played well."
