The council for the authorizations of the Chamber said no to the arrest of Giulio Tremonti's former right-hand man. Marco Milanese was saved by 11 votes to 10. The proposal of the rapporteur, Fabio Gava (Pdl), who opposed the request for the arrest of his party colleague, passed with a similar, small difference.
As expected, the Pd, Udc, Fli and Idv voted against the proposal. The opinion will be submitted to the vote of the Montecitorio assembly on Thursday 22 September, at 12. The League, which in addition voted against the arrest, will leave freedom of conscience, as will the UDC.
