The downward correction of IMF growth estimates affects all stock exchanges

The risk of recession and deflation in the Eurozone and the general worsening of the Monetary Fund's economic forecasts hit the heart of the stock exchanges, all negative in Europe as in America - Piazza Affari leaves the field 1,73% - Cnh collapses again and reductions also on Autogrill, WdF, Azimut and Ubi – A2A and Saipem go against the trend.

German industrial production loses new blows, a serious alarm arrives from the Monetary Fund on the state of health of the global economy. This explains the negative day of the price lists of the Old Continent, also annoyed by the spread of the Ebola virus in Spain. 

In Milan, the FtseMib index closed down by 17,2%, at 19772. Paris -1,81% and Madrid -2,04% did worse, Frankfurt dropped by 1,35%%. The Btp/Bund spread increased to 145 bp pending announcements on Friday's Bot auction. The 2,351-year yield is equal to XNUMX%. 

The US indices were also down: Dow Jones -0,74%, Nasdaq -0,60%. The dollar, which yesterday had lost more than 1% against the euro, falling to 1,265, recovered slightly to 1,262. Oil remains weak: Brent falls to 91,8 dollars a barrel (-1%) and WTI to 89,5 dollars (-0,8%).

Cnh industrial backed sharply in Piazza Affari -4,59% after Agco, the US manufacturer of agricultural machinery, cut its forecasts. Fiat -1,09% weak after data on car sales in Brazil, which show a decisive slowdown and with the group doing worse than the market. In Exor's wake -2,9%. 

Banks are weak: Unicredit -1,31%, Intesa does worse -2,06%. Two days after the new board of directors, Monte Paschi is holding +0,1%, despite Mediobanca Securities seeing some risk on the stress tests. Bper also rises +0,16%.  

Telecom Italia, substantially unchanged during the session, worsened in the final: -0,69%. The Oi Group, candidate to launch a bid for Tim Brasil, could sell non-core activities in Portugal to raise cash. Autogrill, which lost 4,9%, World Duty Free -2,7% and Atlantia -2,8% were affected by the Ebola case. The drop in oil, on the other hand, is felt by Eni -2,3%. Strong decrease also for Enel -2,2%, Enel Green Power drops by 2%.
