Volatility reigns supreme on European lists, first up, then down, around noon back in positive territory.

Piazza Affari now gains 1,3% supported by the rebound of the banks.

In the space of two hours, the FtseMib index (at 12 at 18.233) fluctuated from an opening of 18.052 points to a low of 17.836 points.

The other stock exchanges of the Old Continent were also positive. Paris gains 0,8%, Frankfurt 0,78%. London +0,50%.

Meanwhile, Brent was down 0,9% to 27,63 while WTI was down 1,06% to 28,05 dollars at 12,54 on Thursday morning. 

The climate of uncertainty continues to push purchases of German Bunds, whose yield has fallen to 0,4840%, and of gold, just below 1.100 dollars an ounce. Yesterday's alarm on our government bonds returns. The spread drops by 2 basis points to 114. 10-year BTP yield 1,62%.

Attention is now focused on Mario Draghi's press conference (scheduled for 13.45pm) at the end of the ECB meeting.

In Piazza Affari, 35 of the 40 blue chips bounce.

Unicredit also reversed course +3,5%, Pop. Emilia +3,5% and Ubi +3,5%.

Deutsche Bank's plunge -7% in Frankfurt after the losses (-6,7 billion) highlighted in the accounts should be noted.

Pearson flies 13% to London: the school publisher, former owner of the Financial Times has launched a robust restructuring plan.
