Kairos is 100% of Julius Baer: Basilico CEO and president

The Swiss complete the acquisition of Kairos but confirm its full autonomy - Paolo Basilico: "From an operational point of view, nothing will change because the Italian management will retain complete managerial autonomy, as it has been in all these years" of the quotation

Kairos is 100% of Julius Baer: Basilico CEO and president

Based on the contractual agreements entered into years ago, Julius Baer, Switzerland's third largest bank specializing in private banking, rose from 80 to 100% of Kairos Investment Management, one of the brightest financial boutiques and asset management companies in Piazza Affari, founded fifteen years ago by Paolo Basilico.

For the sale of the remaining 20% stake Basilico and the management of Kairos will collect others 96 million, in addition to those received in 2016 when the Swiss rose from 19,9% to 80% of the Milanese society. The transaction follows the definitive shelving of the Kairos listing project on the Stock Exchange but also crowns a virtuous marriage in which Julius Baer has bet on Kairos and, intelligently, has left full autonomy to the Italian management. Proof of this is the fact that Basilico not only remained CEO but also returned as president of Kairos, at the proposal of the Swiss shareholders.

“From an operational point of view – in fact Basilico explains to FIRSTonline – nothing will change because, even after the completion of the purchase, Julius Baer will leave full autonomy to the management of Kairos, as it has always been in recent years”.
