The Board of Directors of IWBank SpA, which met on 3 June 2013, appointed Massimo Capuano Chairman of the Board of Directors with the same effective date.
Massimo Capuano, former member of the bank's board of directors and previously number one of Borsa Italiana, takes over from Mario Cera who resigned as he was appointed Senior Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the UBI Banca Group.
Massimo Capuano takes up the position in IWBank after having been, since February 2011, Chief Executive Officer of CentroBanca, the Corporate and Investment Bank of the UBI group. “Technological and market leadership in addition to a product offering that is worthy of the most demanding and active customers, make IWBank the reference institution for online banking in Italy”, stated the new president, Massimo Capuano, “my work and that of the management will be aimed at consolidate this positioning”.
IWBAnk, operational since 1999, is the online bank of the UBI Banca group; to date, it is one of the main operators of online banking services.
