The former US ambassador to Italy Reginald Bartholomew, one of the protagonists of the era of privatizations in our country, has died. The news was given by his wife Rose-Anne, as reported by the Washington Post.
Bartholomew was ambassador in Rome from '93 to '97, when the great privatization plan of the public assets planned on board the royal yacht Britannia took shape.
Subsequently, at the end of his mandate, Bartholomew was the number one of Merrill Lynch in Italy.
