The confidence index of analysts and investors on the prospects of the Italian economy recorded an improvement in October and turned positive. This is what emerges from the economic survey by the German research institute Call, on the basis of which the homonymous Italian index is calculated, which rose to +0,5 from -0,5 in September. The rebound seen in the euro area was decidedly more marked, where the index rose to +12,3 from +5,4.

Returning to Italy, the index relating to current economic conditions recorded a very slight improvement, going to -67 from -67,4 in September.

The Zew index of business confidence in Germany rose more than expected in October. Analysts estimated that the research institute disseminated a growing but more contained figure between 4 and 4,5.
