Italcementi communicated that at the end of the validity period of the simplified takeover bid on Ciments Français shares, the Bergamo-based company came to hold 97,73% of the share capital and 98,65% of the voting rights of Ciments Français.
Taking into account that less than 5% of the capital and voting rights is currently held by minority shareholders of Ciments Français, Italcementi has requested the implementation of the “squeeze out” procedure, as desired by the purposes of the Offer. The procedure was set for next July 15 at the same price paid for the offer, i.e. 79,5 euros per share.
The implementation of the procedure represents the final step in the integration of Ciments Français within Italcementi.
