The confidence of Italian consumers increases. According to the Istat, the consumer confidence climate index rose in March from 94,4 to 96,8 points. The index relating to the general economic component also rose (from 86,8 to 87,4) and, to a more marked extent, that relating to the personal situation of the interviewees (from 97,5 to 100,1).

There is also a clear improvement in the assessments on the convenience of purchasing durable goods (the relative balance from -98 to -82), while those relating to unemployment worsen (from 82 to 87). On the other hand, still according to Istat, assessments on the family's economic situation remain stable (-53) and prospective assessments of savings improve (the balance rises from -79 to -71).

At the territorial level, the climate of trust improves in all divisions, with a most significant increase in the South, where it passes from 92,7 to 96,6.
