A government spokesman in Paris has confirmed the presence of French soldiers in Libya. "The special forces are there, of course, to help ensure that France is present everywhere in the fight against terrorists," French government spokesman Stephane Le Foll said in an interview with radio station France Info.
Le Foll also admitted the killing of three French soldiers also in Libya, without however giving details, and also said that France and the US are preparing a coordinated attack against Mosul, the Islamic State stronghold in Iraq. “French Defense Minister Jean Yves Le Drian is in Washington.
