Intesa Sanpaolo rewards those who work in the branches: more holidays

The six additional days will be usable from the end of the Coronavirus emergency until 30 November 2020, and in part they will be able to be cashed in alternatively.

Six additional days off, with respect to the provisions of the law and the collective agreement, usable from the end of the Coronavirus emergency until November 30, 2020, and partially cashable (3 days). This is the award that Intesa Sanpaolo wants to recognize to all its workers who in these very complicated weeks work in branches to ensure services to the public or who carry out activities that do not allow the use of smart working. "We acknowledge the great sense of responsibility shown in this extraordinarily complex phase by the people of the bank", says a note. Where not used (for a maximum of 3 days) these holidays will be convertible into cash, with an overall maximum benefit of approximately 25 million euros.

“We at Intesa Sanpaolo have never underestimated the emergency – he said the CEO Carlo Messina -. The top priority is the safety of all our people. For this reason, we have implemented all possible measures to work from home immediately and on a large scale. At the same time we are ensuring customer assistance with maximum flexibility, guaranteeing all remote services, to allow our customers to see their needs met while staying at home".

"A special thanks goes to the people who work in the territorial network, as well as to all our people for how, even in the emergency, we are ensuring the proximity of the bank to households and businesses. Once again the strength of Intesa Sanpaolo's people is confirmed as an excellence in the panorama of the country”, concluded Messina.
