Intesa Sanpaolo has launched For Funding (www.forfunding.it) the group's new crowdfunding platform. The goal is to unite individual donors and non-profit organizations to support important social solidarity projects.

The platform is part of a broader project to actively develop and support the Third Sector in Italy. Furthermore, a press release explains, the initiative involves 900 "Social Ambassadors", selected from colleagues in the Intesa Sanpaolo branches to promote the culture of donation in the area.

It starts with three selected projects for which the collection of donations is active and can be consulted on the Intesa Sanpaolo platform: For Funding for Unicef aims to guarantee access to drinking water for children in the poorest areas of the world; a new pediatric ward will be built for the Bambino Gesù Foundation with state-of-the-art machinery for the diagnosis and treatment of eye cancer; donations will be collected for the San Donato Hospital Group Foundation for innovative equipment that will allow cutting-edge surgical interventions.

The platform is open to all, customers and non-customers of the banking group, and will allow donations to be made online by credit card, wire transfer, or in Intesa Sanpaolo branches without commissions charged to the donor or beneficiary and will allow donors to consult the collection trend and the progressive realization of the project they support are real.
