Intesa Sanpaolo and RetImpresa together for network development

Support the development of networks as a tool to increase the competitiveness of Italian companies on national and international markets. This is the objective of the agreement signed today by Aldo Bonomi, president of RetImpresa (the confederal agency of Confindustria for business networks), and by Giuseppe Castagna, general manager and manager of Banca dei Territori of Intesa Sanpaolo.

There are three main areas of collaboration: dedicated offer, specialist services and ad hoc training programmes. The agreement proposes an offer dedicated to companies that collaborate on the network, consisting of financial instruments and specialist assistance services. Intesa Sanpaolo has defined specific support paths for business networks that intend to develop strategic innovation and internationalization projects.

The offer also includes support for ordinary network management, with infra-network credit release solutions and products that simplify the management of commercial relationships. In this context, explain ReteImpresa and Intesa Sanpaolo, the bank will make available all the tools capable of making access to credit simpler and more advantageous: in addition to the use of the free Guarantee Fund for SMEs that adhere to a contract network, Intesa Sanpaolo has a special ceiling of 30 million euro assigned by the European Investment Bank.

Through Mediocredito Italiano, the group bank dedicated to supporting the development of Italian businesses, Intesa Sanpaolo makes a dedicated specialist Desk available to the networks which guarantees constant monitoring of the evolution of the legislation and which oversees the consequent updating of the offer model. At the local level, on the other hand, territorial offices are active made up of professionals capable of analyzing the industrial project of the network, evaluating its prospective benefits on the individual member companies.

To make the business world aware of the issue of business networks and promote collaboration between businesses, Intesa Sanpaolo and RetImpresa will offer seminars and thematic meetings in the area, as well as targeted training initiatives that will bring into play the specialist skills of their respective training structures.

“We are pleased with this additional network development agreement. In fact, our idea is that companies and banks move together in the same direction - declares Aldo Bonomi, vice president of Confindustria and president of RetImpresa - Banks, especially our partners in agreements like this, can finally look more closely at networks because, by implementing the industrial programs foreseen by the contracts, it increases competitiveness and transparency".

“Ours – says Giuseppe Castagna, general manager and manager of Banca dei Territori of Intesa Sanpaolo – was the first bank in Italy to have equipped its commercial structure with a complete range of financial services and specialist consultancy capable of supporting constitution of business networks, finance the best aggregation projects and support the processes of internationalization and innovation, especially of less structured companies".
