Intesa Sanpaolo and Ermitage, new agreement to enhance Italian art

Giovanni Bazoli, President Emeritus of Intesa Sanpaolo, and Michail Piotrovsky, Director General of the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, have sanctioned the collaboration, which will continue until 2020 between the Gallerie d'Italia and the State Hermitage Museum.

In recent days an agreement of considerable importance has been signed for the enhancement of the Italian artistic and cultural heritage.

Therefore, the presence of Intesa Sanpaolo continues in the Russian Federation, interweaving economy and art, business and culture; with the State Hermitage Museum, Intesa Sanpaolo, had in fact already collaborated in 2017 lend the painting "Final judgement" di Giambattista Tiepolo.
Under the new agreement, various initiatives will be planned at the Hermitage, one of the largest museums in the world, with the aim of enhance and make known the Italian artistic talent to the international audience.
From 7 December 2018 to 10 March 2019 the exhibition dedicated to Piero della Francesca.
 
Prestigious works will be among the protagonists of some exhibitions promoted by Intesa Sanpaolo Culture Project at the museum center of the Gallerie d'Italia in its offices in Milan, Naples, Vicenza and at the skyscraper of the Bank in Turin. From 19 October 2018 to 10 March 2019 there will be a major exhibition on Romanticism Galleries of Piazza Scala, while Naples, from 5 December to 7 April 2019, will welcome the masterpiece by anton vandyck, “Appearance of Christ to the Disciples”on the occasion of the exhibition Rubens, Van Dyck, Ribera - A Prince's Collection.
There are also scholarships, exchanges of researchers and the organization of international meetings that will focus on art and culture in collaboration with Global village.
