Encouraging signal from the Italian labor market. According to data released this morning by INPS, which published the Observatory on layoffs in January applications for various unemployment benefits (which include Aspi, mini Aspi and Naspi) fell by 32,3% compared to the same month in 2015, settling at 148.185.

Compared to December, however, when there were 149.531 applications for unemployment, there was a drop of 0,9%. The new positive data adds to the improvement in work throughout 2015 photographed on March 10 by Istat.  

In addition, in February, INPS authorized companies for 60,1 million hours of layoffs with an increase of 5,7% on January and 1,9% on February 2015.

Over 71% of requested and authorized hours involved the extraordinary box (43.205.825 hours) which marked a decrease of 9,3% on January and an increase of 11,2% on February 2015.

La Ordinary cigarette with 9,8 million hours, it increased by 243% on January (when, however, the numbers were very low) and decreased by 41,7% on January 2015.

the Cig by way of derogation 7,1 million hours were requested with a +115% compared to February 2015 and an increase of 10,2% compared to January.
