We're here now: June 16th is the deadline to pay the deposit of Imu and Tasi 2015. To speed up the procedures, late taxpayers can find an important ally on the website of their Municipality of residence, or on related portals. In fact, many local administrations have made a online calculator to find out how much the single municipal tax and the indivisible service charge cost this year.
In reality, the first installment of the two home taxes is paid with reference to the old resolutions, therefore with the rates and deductions already used last year. This means that for many taxpayers it will be enough to reconstruct the amounts paid throughout 2014 for Imu and Tasi and divide them by two: the results thus obtained will correspond to the sums to be paid for the two installments due.
However, this simple operation is only sufficient if the real estate assets have remained the same compared to last year. We must instead redo the calculations if there have been changes to the property (for sale, inheritance or other), if the buildings have changed their cadastral category or method of use, if the area has become buildable on the basis of the general master plan.
In all of these cases it's a good idea to take a look at Council's calculator. We have collected those of the main Italian cities, here are the links:
