The entity born from the merger by incorporation of Confindustria Monza and Brianza into Assolombarda was presented today. The new association, which represents almost 6 companies, takes the name of Assolombarda Confindustria Milano, Monza and Brianza.

With the merger by incorporation into Assolombarda of Confindustria Monza and Brianza, the new association of industrialists in northern Italy was born. The new entity, officially born on October 2015, XNUMX, but presented today, is called "Industrial Association of the territories of Milan, Lodi, Monza and Brianza”, in abbreviated form “Assolombarda Confindustria Milan Monza and Brianza".

The new association of entrepreneurs can boast a considerable economic weight in the area: according to estimates it is worth it the 52% of Lombardy's GDP and 12% of the national one. The association represents 5.830 companies for a total of 319.650 workers which bring contributions of around 35 million euros a year into its coffers.

Assolombarda Confindustria Milano, Monza and Brianza was officially presented today by the president Gianfelice Rocca and the vice president Andrea dell'Orto. “Ours – said Rocca – is a merger between two healthy associations, both growing in membership even in these last years of crisis in the country, and which aims to be even stronger in order to be able to offer more and more services to businesses by helping them in their processes of innovation and growth”.

“In the space of a few years we have gone from 700 to over 1000 companies – added the vice president of dell'Orto, former president of Confindustria Monza and Brianza – but in our desire to be more and more a stimulating factor for our production system, we looked at a project, also in view of the Pesenti directive, which would allow us to maintain our identity while at the same time elevating representation”.
