Manchester wears Prada, United also looks to Hong Kong

What does Manchester United have in common with Prada? A special attraction at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. After the Italian maison, the great English football club is also looking to the Asian market for its quotation. The Sunday Times reports rumors according to which the American owners of the team have discussed this possibility with various investment banks. Last season's Champions League finalist club is expected to be valued at around £1,7bn (about $2,8bn). On the other hand, there is no news on the share of the capital that will be put on the market. The US Glazer family bought Manchester in 2005 for £790m in a leveraged buyout. To date, the company's debts total approximately £490 million. Listing on the Stock Exchange would therefore bring a breath of fresh air.
